ABOUT ME
I have worked in the design and creative industry for over 15 years, both in the UK and overseas in Hong Kong. Not only am I expericenced in floral design, but also interior design, graphic design and textiles.
I believe this varied background helps me to create epic floral designs rich in colour, texture, composition and interest.
When I'm not busy creating beautiful flowers, I'll either be out in the countryside walking my rescue dog Willow, tinkering away at new graphic designs for wedding stationery ( yes I do that too!) or conjuring up culinary delights in the kitchen with my husband whilst sipping a large glass of wine!
Hello, I'm Alix, from Alix Wild Design and I am an experienced wedding and event florist based in Newcastle. I work all over the North of England covering Northumberland, County Durham, Cumbria and even go as far as North Yorkshire and the Scottish Borders!
I love working to unique briefs and believe the most important thing when working with clients is creating something that truly reflects their personality and style whilst also guiding them towards new ideas they may not have considered before.
I work very closely with the seasons and love showcasing the very best of what's available across all of my work, may that be weddings, corporate work or funeral flowers.

As an independent wedding and event florist, your flowers are the only flowers I am thinking about. I am not a shop therefore I am not working from a pre bought flower stand, using up stock. I am sourcing flowers specifically for you and your day. Choosing the very best of the season and choosing what reflects you and your vision.
Before I became a florist I was an Interior designer for over 10 years. This has made me see floristry in a very different way. I don't put flowers together just from whats readily available or trendy. I work with my couples in the same way I would an interior design client. I see flowers as a form of artistry. A composition of colours, form, texture. Building a scheme that is uniquely yours that you will look back on for years to come and still bring you joy.
